Definition
奸 is a bound morpheme (b.f.) that appears in compound words, primarily with two distinct meaning clusters: (1) illicit sexual relations, including adultery and rape, as in 通奸 (adultery), 强奸 (rape), and 奸污 (rape); (2) evil, treachery, or unscrupulous behavior, as in 奸诈 (treacherous), 奸商 (unscrupulous merchant), and 奸细 (spy). As a bound form it cannot stand alone as a word.
