Definition
嫁人 means 'to get married' specifically for women. It is a separable verb (离合词): the verb 嫁 can split off from 人 when measure words, complements, or objects are inserted — e.g. 嫁了人 ('got married'), 嫁对人 ('married the right person'). You cannot place an object directly after 嫁人; instead use 嫁给 somebody. This word is more colloquial than 出嫁.
