守旧 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to stick to old ways' or 'to be conservative'. It can be split to insert time, degree, or other elements — for example, 守了一辈子旧 ('stuck to old ways all one's life'). It's often used to criticize resistance to change or describe a traditional mindset.
