安检 (ān jiǎn) is a specialized verb meaning 'to go through a security check' — it is used almost exclusively for security screenings at airports, train stations, or events. It is much narrower than the general verb 检查 (jiǎn chá 'to check, inspect'), and unlike 排查 (pái chá 'systematic inspection') or 把关 (bǎ guān 'vetting against standards'), 安检 always refers to a security procedure for people or luggage.
