Definition
定罪 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to convict someone of a crime'. The noun 罪 ('crime') can split off from 定 ('determine') when you insert a modifier or measure word: 定了他的罪 ('determined his guilt'). You typically use it with the person being convicted introduced by 把 or 对: 把他定罪 or 对他定罪. The object (the crime) comes after 罪 in the separated form: 定他一个偷窃罪 ('convict him of theft').
