Definition
寝室 (qǐnshì) refers to a shared sleeping room, most commonly a school or workplace dormitory. It differs from 卧室 (wòshì), which is a private bedroom in a home, and from 宿舍 (sùshè), which is the broader concept of a dormitory building or complex. 床位 (chuángwèi) means a single bed or berth, not a room.
