封闭 (fēngbì) means to seal off an area/entrance or to close down an illegal venue; it can also describe isolating oneself. It is more general than 封锁 (fēngsuǒ), which suggests a strict blockade enforced by authorities. For airtight sealing, use 密封 (mìfēng); for business closure due to bankruptcy, use 倒闭 (dǎobì).
