Definition
就是 (jiù shì) emphasizes identity ('exactly, precisely') or determination ('simply, just'), and can mean 'even if' with 也. It is stronger and more emphatic than 就 (jiù), which is a general 'then/just'. Unlike 只是 (zhǐ shì) 'merely, only', 就是 does not introduce a contrast ('but').
