Definition
尽 (jǐn) means 'to the greatest extent possible' and is used before verbs to express doing something as much as you can. It differs from 尽量 (jǐn liàng), which is a set phrase meaning 'as much as possible' and is more specific to effort; 尽 is broader and can also mean 'furthest' when placed before a location noun (e.g., 尽里面 'the very inside').
