Definition
急忙 (jí máng) means 'hastily, in a hurry' and describes a state of being rushed, often with anxiety. Unlike 赶快/赶紧 (gǎn kuài/gǎn jǐn), which urge quick action, 急忙 focuses on the hurried state itself. It can also be used as a predicate (别急忙 'don't be in a hurry').
