Definition
急性子 describes someone who is naturally impatient or impetuous — a personality trait. In everyday Chinese you hear it used as a noun (e.g. '他是个急性子' — he's an impatient person). Note that the word also has a very narrow TCM meaning (garden balsam seed), but that's rare outside of herbal medicine contexts.
