急躁 (jízào) describes a personality that is easily upset and quick to act rashly — it combines impatience with a hot temper. Compared to 暴躁 (bàozào, more violent) and 烦躁 (fánzào, more restless), 急躁 focuses on the tendency to snap or act hastily. 冲动 (chōngdòng) refers to a sudden impulse, not a character trait.
