Definition
急迫 (jí pò) means 'urgent, pressing' and is used for situations or needs that demand immediate action. It is more formal and intense than 紧急 (jǐn jí, 'urgent/emergency'), which often describes crises, and emphasizes time pressure rather than the eagerness of 迫切 (pò qiè, 'urgent/ardent'). 紧迫 (jǐn pò) is a very close synonym but stresses pressure from constraints.
