Definition
怪不得 (guài bu de) and 难怪 (nán guài) both mean 'no wonder' (adverb) and 'cannot blame' (verb). 怪不得 is the more colloquial, everyday choice in spoken Chinese; 难怪 is slightly more formal and often used in writing. When used as a verb meaning 'cannot blame', 怪不得 is more common as a predicate (怪不得他), while 难怪 is less frequent in that role.
