Definition
惹火 is a colloquial separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to provoke, anger, or sexually arouse'. In the sense of making someone angry, it commonly appears in the 把 structure: 把 + person + 惹火了 ('made someone angry'). The verb 惹 and the complement 火 can be separated by 了, 过, or measure words.
