Definition
意志 (yì zhì) is a person's inner willpower and determination — the mental strength to persist toward a goal. It differs from 毅力 (yì lì), which emphasizes perseverance through hardship, and from 志气 (zhì qì), which adds moral ambition. 决心 (jué xīn) is a specific decision or resolve for an action.
