慢 (màn) is the everyday word for 'slow' in speed, pace, or action. It's different from 迟 (chí), which means 'late, delayed' (though also 'slow' in some uses), and from the more formal 缓慢 (huǎn màn), used in written language for gradual or unhurried processes.
