投机取巧 is a four-character idiom (chengyu) with a negative connotation, describing someone who uses shortcuts, tricks, or unethical methods to gain personal advantage, often by exploiting opportunities without putting in real effort. It is commonly used in criticism of dishonest, opportunistic behavior in work, business, or exams.
