Definition
抗拒 (kàngjù) means to resist or defy something you are unwilling to accept — it often describes internal resistance to change, temptation, or orders. It is less active than 反抗 (fǎn kàng, to rebel) and less about direct confrontation than 对抗 (duì kàng, to confront). Use 抗拒 when the resistance is psychological or passive, not physical or organized.
