Definition
授权 means 'to authorize' — giving someone formal permission to act on your behalf, often in an official or legal context. It is stronger and more formal than 允许 (allow) or 许可 (permit), which are general permissions without the delegation of authority. 准许 is also formal but focuses on granting approval rather than delegating power.
