Definition
提价 is a separable verb-object (离合词) meaning 'to raise prices'. You can separate the two syllables to insert time, frequency, or other elements between them — for example, 提了一次价 ('raised prices once') or 提过价 ('have raised prices before'). The particle 了 also goes between: 提了价 ('raised prices'). This pattern is the same as other VO compounds like 见面 or 帮忙.
