Definition
提醒 means to remind or warn someone, often to help them remember something or avoid a problem. It is more general than 提示 (tíshì, to prompt with a hint) and less severe than 警告 (jǐnggào, to formally warn). 叮嘱 (dīngzhǔ) is a repeated, earnest reminder.
