搭档 (dā dàng) is an informal, everyday word for a partner or working together, often in a specific task or project. Unlike the formal verb 合作 (hé zuò), 搭档 is also a common noun (e.g., 'my partner'). It is less formal than 伙伴 (huǒ bàn) and more specific to a collaborative pair.
