Definition
操心 (cāo xīn) means 'to worry about and take trouble for' someone, often with an active sense of caring or managing on their behalf. It's more hands-on than 愁 (chóu, anxious worry) or 担忧 (dān yōu, general concern), and unlike 牵挂/挂念 (concern for someone far away), 操心 implies taking action or effort. It's commonly used for parents worrying about children or for someone handling a matter.
