攀升 (pān shēng) conveys a gradual, step-by-step rise, as if climbing — used for both physically ascending (mountains) and figurative increases (prices, profits). It is more vivid than the general 上升 (shàng shēng, to go up) and overlaps with 上涨 (shàng zhǎng, price rise), but 攀升 emphasizes the climbing-like progress.
