敏感 (mǐn gǎn) describes a person, skin, or topic that is easily affected, irritated, or upset. It differs from 灵敏 (líng mǐn), which means acute senses or quick reactions (e.g., a sensitive instrument or keen hearing), and from 敏锐 (mǐn ruì), which means sharp insight or observation (e.g., a keen mind).
