方 (fāng) is a versatile word with three main senses at HSK5: 'square' (adjective for shape), 'direction / side' (as in 对方 'the other party' or 西方 'the west'), and 'method / prescription' (as in 方法 or 药方). The standalone noun for 'direction' is 方向 (fāngxiàng); 方 alone usually appears in set compounds or as an adjective. The 'honest, upright' sense matching 正直 (zhèngzhí) is less common at this level.
