时光 (shí guāng) means 'time' in a literary, often nostalgic sense — the passage of time that feels beautiful or memorable. It overlaps with 岁月 (suì yuè), but 时光 leans more toward cherished moments, while 岁月 can carry a heavier, more neutral sense of years passing. Unlike 时代 (shí dài 'era'), 时光 is not used for historical epochs.
