星期 (xīngqī) is the standard word for 'week' and also means 'day of the week' when used with numbers (星期一 Monday, 星期二 Tuesday, etc.). It's more common in everyday speech than 周 (zhōu), which is shorter and more often used in writing, schedules, or fixed phrases like 周末 (weekend).
