Definition
最 (zuì) goes before an adjective or verb to make the superlative — 'the most' or '-est' (e.g., 最大 'biggest', 最喜欢 'like the most'). It is different from words like 大多 (mostly) or 多数 (majority), which talk about quantity or frequency, not comparison.
