Definition
流 (liú) means 'to flow' for liquids, air, and also 'to spread' for news or trends. It is more general than 传播 (chuán bō, HSK5), which specifically means to disseminate information or diseases, and differs from 流动 (liú dòng, HSK6), which emphasizes circulation of people, goods, or fluids in a system.
