Definition
浓厚 (nóng hòu) broadly means thick, dense, or strong (fog, clouds, atmosphere, interest, emotion, color). It is more general than 浓 (nóng) for concentration of liquids/fog/smell, and less intense than 浓郁 (nóng yù) for rich fragrance/atmosphere or 浓重 (nóng zhòng) for heavy smell/accent/emotion. 厚 (hòu) is for physical thickness of flat objects or profound relationships.
