Definition
海滨 (hǎi bīn) means 'seaside' – a place right at the sea, often used for towns or resorts along the shore. It differs from 海岸 (hǎi àn), which is the coastline itself, and from 海滩 (hǎi tān) / 沙滩 (shā tān), which specify a sandy beach. Unlike 岸 (àn), 海滨 is used only for sea locations, not rivers or lakes.
