Definition
牲畜 (shēngchù) refers to domesticated animals raised for work or products, especially larger ones like cattle, sheep, and pigs. It contrasts with 家禽 (jiāqín), which is limited to poultry (chickens, ducks). 畜牧 (xùmù) is the activity or industry of raising such animals, not the animals themselves.
