Definition
田鼠 (tián shǔ) literally means 'field mouse' and refers to various small rodents that live in fields (voles, field mice). The English gloss also lists 'mole', but that is a different animal (鼹鼠 yǎn shǔ). Use 田鼠 for field rodents, not for moles.
