Definition
示威 is specifically about public protest or a show of force — people gathering to express opposition, or military displays of power. Unlike 游行 (yóu xíng), which emphasizes the act of marching in a procession (often celebratory), 示威 focuses on the protest or intimidation aspect. Other siblings like 示范 (shì fàn) or 演示 (yǎn shì) mean 'to demonstrate how to do something' and are unrelated.
