福德 is a Buddhist term that refers to the merit (punya) accumulated through virtuous deeds, such as charity, moral discipline, and meditation. In Chinese culture, it is also used more broadly to mean blessings or good fortune earned by good actions. It is often paired with 功德 (gōngdé) but emphasizes the karmic reward aspect.
