Definition
空隙 (kòng xì) is a small gap or opening between objects, or a brief interval of free time. It is more concrete and everyday than 间隙 (jiàn xì), which often appears in technical or formal contexts (e.g., machinery gaps, scheduled intervals). For a crack caused by damage, use 裂缝 (liè fèng) instead.
