Definition
简易 (jiǎn yì) describes something that is simple and easy to use or understand, often with a neutral or positive tone, but can also imply 'too simple' (simplistic) in a mildly critical way. It differs from 简洁 (jiǎn jié, concise) and 简要 (jiǎn yào, brief), which focus on being brief and to the point, and from 朴素 (pǔ sù, plain), which emphasizes being unadorned or frugal.
