Definition
粉身碎骨 is a four-character idiom (chengyu) meaning literally 'body ground to powder, bones shattered' — utter destruction. In modern Chinese, it is most commonly used hyperbolically to express total commitment or willingness to sacrifice everything (even death) for a cause. It often appears in the common pattern 粉身碎骨在所不惜 ('even if my body is destroyed, I won't regret it'). It can also be used literally to describe physical destruction from a fall or crash.
