Definition
繁杂 (fán zá) describes something that is both numerous and messy, making it tedious or cumbersome to deal with. It emphasizes the annoying, overwhelming quality of too many details, unlike 复杂 (fù zá) which just means 'complex' without the negative tone, and 繁多 (fán duō) which simply means 'many and varied' without the sense of disorder.
