Definition
杂 (zá) describes things mixed together in a disorderly or miscellaneous way, often with a slightly negative connotation of being jumbled. 多样 (duō yàng) is neutral and simply means 'diverse, varied' without the sense of mess; 五花八门 (wǔ huā bā mén) is a vivid chengyu for 'all kinds of' but focuses on variety, not disorder.
