Definition
红利 (hónglì) refers to a share of profits paid to shareholders (dividend) or a profit-based bonus to employees. Unlike 奖金 (jiǎngjīn), which is a performance-based award not necessarily tied to company profits, 红利 is always derived from profits. Also, 分红 (fēn hóng) is the verb meaning 'to distribute dividends/bonuses', while 红利 is the noun for the amount received.
