Definition
经 (jīng) as a verb means 'to pass through' (a place, time, or experience) and also 'to endure, to withstand.' When paired with 得起/得住 it expresses the ability to bear something. It is broader than 经受 (jīngshòu), which focuses more on enduring hardships or tests and is less likely to refer to physically passing through a place.
