Definition
群体 (qúntǐ) means a group of people or organisms that share common characteristics, like a social community or a biological colony. It is broader than 社区 (shèqū), which refers specifically to a residential neighborhood, and 人群 (rénqún), which is a crowd of people gathered. Unlike 集体 (jítǐ), which implies an organized team or unit, 群体 focuses on shared traits rather than formal structure.
