Definition
腔 (qiāng) has three senses: body cavity, accent, and operatic tune. As a cavity, it is more formal and anatomical than 空洞 (pathological) or 窟窿 (hole). As an accent, it refers to overall speech style, broader than 口音 (regional pronunciation). For tunes, 腔 is the vocal melody style in Chinese opera, while 曲 is a composition and 旋律 the melodic line.
