Definition
融合 (róng hé) means to blend different elements into a harmonious whole, like cultures or flavors merging seamlessly. Unlike 混合 (hùn hé 'mix'), which is often a physical combination without harmony, 融合 emphasizes integration that preserves something of each part. Also distinct from 融入 (róng rù 'integrate into'), where the subject becomes part of something larger.
