街坊 (jiē fang) is a collective noun for 'neighbors' or a 'neighborhood' where people know each other personally. Unlike 邻居 (lín jū), which refers to individual neighbors, 街坊 emphasizes the close-knit community. It is more colloquial than 社区 (shè qū) and implies a traditional, familiar setting rather than a formal administrative area.
