Definition
观念 refers to a concept, notion, or deeply held view, often about social or moral values. It is more abstract and value-laden than 想法 (xiǎng fǎ, a casual opinion) and less systematic than 思想 (sī xiǎng, a system of thought or ideology). 概念 (gài niàn) is a purely abstract concept without the value judgment that 观念 often carries.
