诉诸 (sù zhū) means 'to resort to' a means (e.g., force, law) or 'to appeal to' an abstract quality (e.g., reason, emotion). Unlike 玩弄 (wán nòng), which implies deceptive or manipulative resort, 诉诸 is neutral. Also distinct from 上诉 (shàng sù), which is specifically a legal appeal to a higher court.
